FAQs

How does it work?

Before any treatment begins, we start with a comprehensive diagnostic oral evaluation. During this process, we take the time to thoroughly assess your heal health, document our findings, and determine what care may be appropriate for you.

Because care is provided in a dental school setting, the diagnostic process may require up to three separate appointments, depending on the complexity of your needs. Each appointment is approximately 3 hours, with sessions typically scheduled from 9:00-12:00PM (though we really try to get you out by 11:30AM), or 2:00-5:00PM (though we really try to get you out by 4:30PM).

After the necessary diagnostic information has been collected, we develop a proposed treatment plan that is reviewed and supervised by licensed faculty dentists. Student providers (like me) do not practice independently; care is provided under faculty supervision throughout the entire process.
